If you are interested in volunteer opportunities with our organization, we ask that you take time to stop by our facility to see us in action - we would be more than happy to show you around, discuss what types of opportunities are available, and answer any questions you may have. If you like what you see and feel moved to join our volunteer team, we will have you fill out a volunteer application. After a review of your application, you will be contacted by a member of our team and provided with further information at that time. 

 

Only serious applicants should seek out volunteer opportunities with GGOH - we rely on volunteers for 100% of our daily routines and other functions that keep GGOH up and running.  On-site, we are looking for long-term commitments from our volunteers; any applicant should look at our volunteer opportunities and consider them as important as any paid job, and not as just a "hobby".  The welfare of the animals in our care depend on it.  Off-site, opportunities can be a little more sporadic and flexible in nature.  Whether it's on-site or off-site that you are looking for, we welcome your help and are certain that we can put your time and talents to use.

Volunteers must be at least 14 years old to help out in our facility.  While we do not have volunteer positions available in our facility for children under 14 years of age, there are other opportunities for them to help out the animals; please refer to our Junior Volunteers  page for suggestions.

Stop by our facility during the hours of 9am - 12noon or 5pm - 8pm to talk with a member of our volunteer team.  We look forward to meeting you!
